Quoteable Quotes : : G. K. Chesterton

April 14, 2009

“The poet only asks to get his head into the heavens. It is the logician who seeks to get the heavens into his head. And it is his head that splits.” –G. K. Chesterton

I heard that as I listened to Chesterton’s book Orthodoxy today while I was exercising. I don’t quite agree with the 2 options. But it made me think: “There’s the beauty of Christianity, it beckons a man to get his head into the heavens, and heaven transforms his heart and mind.”
